Siphokazi Mdolo

Is a social justice advocate, community development practitioner, and rural health champion based in Ntabankulu in the Eastern Cape. With over five years of experience working with disadvantaged communities, her work sits at the intersection of social justice, health equity, and community mobilisation. She is currently focused on advancing community-led advocacy, capacity building, and rural health policy reform. She holds a Matric certificate and an N4 in Marketing Management, and has developed strong skills in management, organisation, and communication through her community leadership practice. Her work focuses on identifying systemic barriers affecting access to health, education, transport, food security, and safety, including gender-based violence, and translating community experiences into actionable interventions with local authorities and private institutions. She specialises in community engagement, rights education, and grassroots mobilisation that amplifies marginalised voices and strengthens local accountability mechanisms. Siphokazi serves as Chairperson of the Mnceba Community Steering Committee, where she has led initiatives including road resurfacing projects and the renovation of a local high school. She has also held leadership roles as General Secretary of the Ntabankulu Farmers Association, Chairperson of the Ntabankulu Business Forum (Women’s Desk), and in church leadership structures. Through ongoing community engagement sessions, she educates residents on their rights and supports pathways for addressing social justice challenges at the local level. Her work is guided by a vision of rural communities having equitable access to quality health, education, and technology, and of ensuring that government policies and human rights frameworks are understood and implemented at the community level. She is committed to strengthening her leadership practice in service of sustainable, community-driven social change.
