Her work sits at the intersection of radio broadcasting, child participation, and public health, with a strong focus on advancing ethical, inclusive, and child-centred media that promotes wellbeing and amplifies children’s voices. She holds a Radio Production Certificate from the National Electronic Media Institute of South Africa, a BA and Honours in Film and Media Production, and a Master’s in Media Theory and Practice from the University of Cape Town, as well as a BA Honours in Management from Stellenbosch University. With over a decade of experience, her expertise spans radio production, editorial leadership, and organisational management within community and healthcare-based media. She currently serves as Station Manager at RX Radio, where she leads strategic direction, oversees daily operations, and guides content development to ensure it is engaging, ethical, and responsive to the needs of young audiences. Her work includes mentoring young reporters, strengthening stakeholder partnerships, and ensuring compliance with broadcasting and child protection standards. Her work is rooted in advancing children’s rights, particularly within healthcare settings, where she has contributed to building participatory media platforms that support children’s emotional wellbeing, reduce isolation, and promote health literacy.
