Cincinantia Lebjane

Cincinantia Lebjane is Founder/Director at Resoketswe Lebjane Foundation. She works as a community Paralegal Officer and change driver advocating for Gender Equality and Sexual reproductive health rights in rural areas. Her activism is based in Bushbuckridge municipality in Mpumalanga Province.   Cincinantia was exposed to the world of activism when she was volunteering at Bohlabela Resource and advice centre as a paralegal officer. The space opened her eyes to the challenges faced by her community, issues as the lack of access to basic human right information. I felt like there was a need of intervention to reach out to the rural areas of Bushbuckridge.

Cincinantia plans to use her new skills as an advocacy tool to advance health equity in in her community.

“As the founder and director of the organisation I need to be well equipped for the benefits of the organisation and my country. I believe the Tekano Fellowship will advance my leadership skills,” she says.
