Constance Nothando Mathe

Constance Nothando Mathe is the Coordinator of the Asijiki Coalition, a role to which she has dedicated over a decade to lobbying organisations, Members of Parliament, and individuals to safeguard, uphold, and advance the rights of sex workers while advocating for the decriminalisation of sex work. In addition, she is a co-founder of the Black Sex Work Collective and holds a board membership with the Sexual Reproductive Justice Coalition. Constance possesses a diploma in business management and has contributed her expertise as a volunteer for organisations such as the Triangle Project, Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation, and Women’s Legal Centre. More recently, she has undertaken roles as a peer educator, helpline counsellor, and site coordinator at the Sex Workers Education & Advocacy Task force.
