Kenneth Matlawe

Kenneth Matlawe is an activist and leader based in Cape Town. For over a decade, he has devoted his life to tirelessly pursuing justice within the Housing Assembly movement. Within the movement, he has undertaken various roles, including serving as the Political Education Organiser. Currently, he holds the position of Secretary General, where he is entrusted with the vital responsibility of coordinating the movement’s operations and strategies. His unwavering dedication stems from a profound commitment to amplifying the voices of marginalized communities and advocating for a world where safe, affordable, and dignified housing is accessible to all. Through his facilitation of workshops, seminars, and grassroots campaigns, Kenneth equips individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to champion their rights and foster impactful change. He firmly believes in the transformative power of unified action and solidarity as catalysts for a more just and equitable society.
