Lungile Quiny Dube

I am a Masters student at the University of KwaZulu Natal (Pietermaritzburg) [UKZN-PMB] in Education and Development.

I am a Research Intern at the Mzala Nxumalo Centre focusing on Feminism praxis for education and development: The participatory engaging of The Total Shutdown Movement on Gender Based Violence on UKZN-P campus and Women in Savings Groups at Justice and Women (JAW) in Melmoth, KZN.

One of my interests lie deeply on critical involvement in women movements for health equity through a humanizing process.

I have hosted a book launch of “Time to Remember: Reflections of women in the black consciousness movement” under the The Total Shutdown-UKZN-P Chapter as an expression of our visibility for Gender cases on the campus.

In addition to my mother tongue, viz. Isizulu, I also speak 6 other languages, viz. English, IsiXhosa, South Sotho, Xitsonga, Shona, and Afrikaans.
