Pamela Mdlandla

Pamela Mdlandla is an education activist hailing from the rural landscapes of Mqanduli in the Eastern Cape. Her community engagement primarily focuses on working with school children. In collaboration with her team, they diligently address any learning challenges encountered by the students, ensuring appropriate referral to social workers when necessary. Furthermore, Pamela takes charge of a team comprising 25 young individuals who are stationed in various schools. Together, they organise and oversee community reading clubs during the afternoons. As a coach, Pamela’s role significantly impacts the lives of these young learners. In 2019, she actively participated in the Activate Change Drivers programme, which serves as a platform for young leaders to exchange ideas and foster connections nationwide. Building upon this success, Pamela joined the Youth Capital Influencer Program in 2020, empowering her to confront and resolve social issues faced by young people.
