Seatile Pertunia Motsamai

Is an advocate for food security, academic support, and unemployment, with expertise in sustainable agriculture, advocacy, and teaching. She holds an N6 Farming Management Certificate, and is passionate about eradicating poverty and empowering vulnerable communities through household gardening and academic programmes. Seatile is currently the Secretary for Itsoseng Empowerment Village and Supervisor at Lima Rural Development. Seatile has significantly impacted her community; her initiatives include establishing 50 household gardens to improve food security, providing daily nutritious meals for learners, and supporting 100 students (who achieved an average 70% pass rate). Her leadership and commitment have inspired a culture of problem-solving and academic excellence. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Seatile launched a soup kitchen integrated with academic support to address hunger and educational setbacks in her community. She is actively involved in the Ditsobotla District HIV/AIDS Council as Deputy Chair for Law and Human Rights and champions initiatives that promote health equity and sustainability.Her vision includes a socially just world with equal access to basic needs, sustainable agriculture, and minimised food waste. Through partnerships with organisations and local leaders, Seatile aims to create employment, reduce food insecurity, and empower youth with critical thinking and life skills, contributing to a socially just and sustainable world.
