Zimbini Madikiza

Zimbini Madikiza is a charismatic young woman who hails from the Eastern Cape in a small village in Mthatha, called Old Payne Location. Zimbini is the second born out of four siblings, the loudest of them all. Due to her bubbly personality she is always assigned the role of being the program director whenever there is a family function. That did not end there, at varsity she was elected to be the class representative for 3 consecutive years and 1 year as a mentor.

With her own experiences in the society and at varsity due to consequences of certain behaviours, she grew fond of being a life coach for young women and girls she wish she had when she was growing up. The main aim of this goal is to raise awareness and health promotion on Sexual and Reproductive health for prevention and change of harmful behaviour. To achieve this goal, the skills and knowledge obtained during her undergraduate and post graduate studies will be of assistance coupled with all the learnings, mentoring and collaboration that will be acquired during her fellowship at TEKANO.

Her dream is to see an equiped and empowered young generation who will be enabled to advocate for health equity in South Africa.
