Kealeboga Ramaru

Kealeboga Ramaru is a Black feminist organiser and activist with a deep commitment to social justice and health equity. Her leadership and activism span nearly a decade, during which she has engaged with various sectors, including education, public health, and LGBTQ+ rights. She has held several roles, including Deputy Head of the Western Cape Office for Equal Education and Programme Manager at the African Gender Institute. Currently, she is employed in the donor philanthropic field. In her community involvement, she collaborates with organisations like D’Gayle Diamonds on Gender Affirming Healthcare projects. Her contributions to health equity have been significant, notably through her work with the Young Women’s Leadership Project in the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights sector. Additionally, she has supported initiatives such as the Life Esidimeni Memorial campaign and the Gender Affirming Healthcare project in the Northern Cape.
