Ivana Merckel is a University of Cape Town graduate with a passion for empowering and supporting young people. Since 2016, Merckel has facilitated over 4500 youth and persons on Menstrual Hygiene, Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights, and the impact of climate. She has worked with and for, various organisations notably, FemmeProjects NPC, Mina Foundation and Gift of the Givers. Ivana has participated in numerous social impact projects throughout her life and is a member of the African Coalition for Menstrual Hygiene Management. She is an Alumnus of the Activate Change Drivers network (2017) and Enke: Make your mark youth-led social impact incubator (2018) in Johannesburg. Through her practice, she aims to provide comprehensive and holistic health education that is accessible and promotes community participation.
