Philisiwe Precious Mazibuko

Philisiwe Precious Mazibuko is a Community Scholar at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal Centre for Civil Society (CCS). Precious is a qualified facilitator and learning moderator with experience in community dialogues, using varied and engaged learning tools. She believes health equity includes everyone having access to national government issued health systems and the freedom to enjoy them. For Precious, health equity is not only centred on physical and mental health but also includes the health of the environment. She wants to highlight the relationship between the natural and built environments and how the protection of both is vital to the survival of our communities.

“My activism has allowed me to grow and develop and function better in my community and around the people I encounter in the workspace,” she says.
