Itumeleng Moeketsi

Itumeleng Moeketsi is a professional facilitator, actor, curator, and internationally renowned performing artist. She has an outstanding record of creating secure and inclusive spaces that encourage diverse voices to be heard. As a programme manager and facilitator, she has collaborated with both national and international organizations to successfully lead community dialogues. Additionally, Itumeleng serves as a resident production and project manager at The TX Theatre, where she brings stories to life. Throughout her career, she has curated numerous projects and programmes that actively engage with youth, women, and the broader community. Itumeleng is the founder of the Gauteng Arts and Craft Market and Blaq Pearls Productions, which demonstrates her unwavering commitment to fostering a creative environment and empowering various communities. Notably, she curated The Kuwamba Women’s Theatre Festival, providing a valuable platform for women to share their stories and showcase their work. Itumeleng’s leadership journey has also involved her participation in international programmes such as ‘WE ARE HERE,’ where she skillfully facilitated community dialogues that promote nurturing environments for men and boys to actively explore complex identities and societal roles. Her involvement in this programme has deepened her understanding of social conditions and the factors that influence health and wellness.
