Tekano Health Equity South Africa (Tekano) invites suitably qualified Service Providers to submit proposals for the provision of travel and hospitality services both local and international for Tekano employees and Fellows (approximately 150) for business purposes for a period of twenty-four (24) months with an option to review and extend for a further period of 24 months subject to the excellent provision of services in a cost-effective and practical way within the agreed Service Level Agreement.
Tekano is a non-profit organisation with the vision of an equitable South African society with improved health status across all populations. We foster dynamic, visionary, value-based leaders working in catalytic communities of learning and action who articulate, convey and act to promote health equity.
We advance our vision through a Fellowship Programme which annually recruits Fellows who work together to advocate and to address the social and structural determinants that drive health inequities. These Fellows then become part of a lifelong alumni network and continuously work with Tekano in catalytic communities to bring about health equity change.
As a health equity organisation underpinned by social justice, Tekano is intentional about working with service providers who share our unwavering commitment to equity and affirmative action in South Africa.
Preference will be given to 51% Black women-owned companies or those with an Operational Involvement at the managerial and board levels by Black Women.
To be considered for the final stage of bid evaluation, the service provider must submit a complete response that substantially satisfies all the requirements as stated in the full call below.
